Woven coir (coconut fiber) mat, compression molded with rubber backing, edging and inlay. The natural coir fibers help scrape dirt off your shoes, while its rubber border and backing firmly anchors the mat in place. Use anywhere there is high traffic from outside. Coir fibers used to make this mat are extracted from coconut husks, which are otherwise wasted. Each doormat uses fiber from about 26 coconuts. The rubber used to produce this mat is a combination of natural rubber harvested from rubber trees grown in managed plantations and recycled rubber from used tires.
